Hello and welcome to TalkRollerHockey,

The TalkRollerHockey bulletin board has up until recently used a system whereby new users could auto register.

Unfortunately there have been a number of incidents recently where newly registered users have registered and posted inappropriate material on the bulletin board.

In an effort to reduce the number of these occurrences, the method of registration has been altered so that one of the administration team now inspects all new registrations prior to them being activated.

You are welcome to register in the usual manner and one of the Administration team will activate the account. Activation may be completed quite quickly, but the team members do have lives outside Roller Hockey, it might take up to 48 hours to complete the registration process.

As of 20:00 (GMT) Tuesday 09 February 2010 there are no outstanding registrations requiring activation.

If any new account holder's account has not been activated within 72 hours, please contact the author of this message by Personal Message.

Since posting this message on Tuesday 9 February every single new registrant has been identified as being a known sender of spam mail on other bulletin boards and have therefore been banned from TRH.

The TalkRollerHockey bulletin board continues to accept new registrations and it has become clear over the months that the registration process works, when used correctly.

However, when any registration remains incomplete for more than 24 hours the user name and the user email address is individually inspected and often tested on international databases of known bulletin board abusers.

Those partially completed registrations from known abusers, which is currently running at over 90% of commenced registrations, are removed.

Those incomplete registrations from potential users with credible UK or international User Names, or credible UK or foreign email addresses are left awaiting the potential user to complete the registration process.

Those commenced registrations which remain in-complete after a month, are removed.

Rest assured TalkRollerHockey continues to welcome Players, Managers, Supporters and those curious to find out more about the sport of Roller Hockey.
