TalkRollerHockey.net was launched 4 years ago and now has 4370 articles in its forums written by over 400 registered users.

As a result, there are now many old and similar threads that may make it difficult for users to find what they are looking for on the site and we would like to clean this up.

Before doing so, TRH would like the benefit of your feedback on how to approach the task and your help response to the poll below would be most appreciated.

TRH

How to tidy up old Talkrollerhockey threads and topics.
Unless limited for space on the web server, these simply need to be archived. All postings would remain available, but only most recent postings would be accessible from home page. It is vital that no postings are permanently deleted, as they form an important part of roller hockey's history.

Get rid of all the posts related to actual events. Keep the ones that contain "factual" information - like all my referee and rules questions Laughing

Hi

I agree with YESIAM.

I also reckon that similar threads should be merged together to simplify finding things and the desire of some for the preservation of postings for historical reasons should be respected.

Regards

ALL Postings should be kept to preserve history. Ideally if these can be stored on talk roller hockey for full access into all historical posts that's great. If not, archive them, or put onto CD (with copies, and potential for members to purchase?) so these can be reviewed in years to come.

I feel TRH, PRH and Fixtures Live is going to be one of the best sources of information for further research into 'what was happening in UK Roller Hockey' in 5, 10, 20 and 100 years time.

Ie, a lot of the backbiting, negativeness etc on here, is a good indicator to anyone in 50years time wondering what was happening with Roller Hockey in the UK at this time.

ALL THIS INFORMATION ON THE SITE SHOULD NOT BE LOST.
Cool
